Even though Philadelphia was a short-lived place of residence, we had a great time here. This is definitely a city for a food-lover!

Some of our favorite restaurants and things to do:

Abe Fisher
European modern food. Sit at the bar and hopefully Erik is bartending. Favorite dishes: the veal schnitzel tacos, tuna crudo, and skirt steak.

All-American restaurant with a chill atmosphere. Sit outside if you can. Musts = truffle mac and cheese & Kobe chill-cheese dog.

High Street on Market
Trendy restaurant with very creative dishes. The Chef’s tasting menu is amazing.

Modern Israeli Cuisine.

The Foodery
Mark’s favorite. Come here for a great sandwich (Mark’s fav: short-rib cheesesteak) and good beer. They have over 2000 beers in bottles in fridges lining the room that you can buy to drink during dinner along with a few on draft.

Make reservations well in advance!! Creative-American food with a great vibe. Definitely get the beef tartare with fresh horseradish.

Mediterranean kitchen with the best wood-fire pizza in the city (in our opinion). Also need to make reservations well in advance here.

Philadelphia Museum of Art
You must take a picture in front of the Rocky statue then run up the Rocky steps before going into this beautiful museum. Also, they have “Art After 5” where they have live music and libations in the Great Stair Hall Fridays from 5-8:45pm.

Beer Gardens in Summer:

Spruce Street – On the water near Old City. Definitely go at night to see the lights.
Independence Hall – Fun outdoor beer garden with games to play including jumbo Jenga!
